Frequently asked questions
Most Karl Wilder London Malas have a drop length of approximately forty six centimetres, measured from the top centre of the neckline to the lowest point of the piece when worn.
Short Form necklaces sit higher on the chest with a drop length of approximately twenty one to twenty two centimetres, creating a more compact and structured silhouette.
Styles with a clasp allow the piece to be worn in different ways, naturally adjusting the length depending on how it is wrapped or layered. This versatility allows the jewellery to move comfortably between meditation and everyday wear while maintaining balance and presence.
Chakras are traditionally understood as seven energy centres associated with balance, awareness, and emotional clarity.
Our jewellery is designed with these centres in mind, offering quiet support and considered intention rather than symbolism alone.

Our stones are sourced from trusted regions known for quality and responsible practice. Each piece begins with materials chosen with care, respect for origin, and considered intention.
We work with genuine semi precious stones, sterling silver, and fine woven silk as standard. Bespoke commissions may also be created in gold or platinum. Every material is selected with intention to reflect the quality and quiet elegance of the Karl Wilder London atelier.
Yes. Every stone we use is a genuine semi precious stone selected from trusted sources and chosen for its natural character and quality.
Karl Wilder London offers a select range of woven bracelets alongside the Sterling bracelet and the Line bracelet.
We do not produce semi precious stone bracelets strung on silk, as this does not meet the durability and material standards of the atelier.

A Mala traditionally consists of one hundred and eight beads with a larger central bead, often referred to as the Guru bead. It is used as a tactile aid for breath or mantra repetition, moving one bead at a time to support focus and rhythm. The central bead is not crossed and instead marks a pause or change in direction. Karl Wilder London Malas honour this heritage while being crafted as refined pieces of jewellery, intended to carry quiet intention into everyday life.
A Mala can be used as a quiet, modern ritual to support presence and reflection throughout the day. Moving gently from bead to bead with breath or attention creates a rhythm that encourages calm focus and inward clarity. Worn or held, it becomes a personal anchor rather than a prescribed practice, allowing meaning to emerge naturally through use.
The Chinese character Fu 福 is traditionally associated with good fortune, well being, and prosperity. Long used as a symbol of welcome and positive intention, it is integrated into our sterling silver beads as a quiet cultural reference rather than a literal statement. It serves as a discreet mark of continuity, meaning, and considered craftsmanship carried with the piece.
Karl Wilder London pieces should be treated with considered care. To preserve natural materials, avoid prolonged exposure to water, chemicals, or impact, and allow silk and stones to rest between wear. If cleaning is required, gently rinse with cool water. When needed, a small amount of mild, natural soap may be used, applied by hand rather than directly to the piece, before rinsing thoroughly and allowing to air dry naturally. For repairs or further guidance, our concierge team can advise.
The silver signature square is a subtle identifying detail of Karl Wilder London. Framing the central sterling silver bead, it introduces a sense of structure, balance, and intention within the piece. Historically associated with grounding and stability, the square acts as a quiet counterpoint to the fluidity of the stones, bringing focus and architectural clarity to the design.
