Origins

The national gem of Scotland, mined by the ancient Celts in the Cairngorm Mountains.

Used on Highland clothing, kilt pins and the handles of the traditional Scottish dress dagger.

Its colour is produced by natural irradiation within the rock during formation.

Regarded in Celtic tradition as a stone connected with the earth and the darker half of the year.

Product Description

The Chestnut Woven is formed from hand woven deep brown cord creating a textured and flexible structure around the wrist. Two six millimetre smoky quartz stones sit within the closing cords, their dark translucent tone drawing from the same register as the silk itself. The bracelet is finished with sterling silver cord ends and a screw clasp engraved with the KW signature.

The deep brown cord and the smoky quartz occupy the same tonal register and create a close, unified surface. Stone and silk pull toward each other rather than apart.
