Crystal Quartz
Origins
The word crystal derives from the Greek krystallos, meaning ice.
Ancient Greeks believed quartz was water frozen so deeply by the gods it would never melt.
Used as cylinder seals by Mesopotamian civilisations as early as 7000 BCE.
Traditionally worn as a talisman across Egyptian, Greek and Roman cultures.
Aventurine takes its name from the Italian a ventura, meaning by chance.

Product Description
This Mala pairs clear quartz and aventurine across 108 beads, transparency meeting the chance-named stone in a single measured sequence. The two materials read differently in every light, the quartz cool and direct, the aventurine shifting with its interior glimmer.
The six millimetre stones are strung on grey woven silk from a house with over 150 years of heritage, its neutral tone allowing both stones to speak without competition. The piece is finished with seven point five millimetre sterling silver Chinese Fu marker beads and a ten millimetre Fu Guru bead.
