Origins
Mined continuously from the Sar-e-Sang deposits in Badakhshan, Afghanistan, for over 6000 years.
The name derives from the Latin lapis, meaning stone, and the Persian lazhuward, meaning blue.
Used in the burial mask of Tutankhamun alongside gold and turquoise.
Ground into ultramarine, the most prized blue pigment available to Renaissance painters.

Product Description
The Sky Woven is formed from hand woven pale blue cord creating a textured and flexible structure around the wrist. Two six millimetre lapis lazuli stones sit within the closing cords, their deep saturated blue carrying the characteristic gold flecks of pyrite within the stone surface. The bracelet is finished with sterling silver cord ends and a screw clasp engraved with the KW signature.
The pale silk recedes behind the depth of the lapis rather than competing with it. The stone carries more colour history than any other in the woven series.
