Origins
 
Carnelian is a red-orange variety of chalcedony, coloured by iron oxide impurities within the silica.
Used in Egyptian scarabs, amulets and burial jewellery for over 4000 years.
Referenced throughout the Book of the Dead as a stone of passage and vitality.
Napoleon Bonaparte was said to have carried a carnelian seal taken during his Egyptian campaign.
The name derives from the Latin caro, meaning flesh, for its characteristic warm tone.

Product Description
 
The Midnight Woven is formed from hand woven black cord creating a textured and flexible structure around the wrist. Two six millimetre carnelian stones sit within the closing cords, their warmth reading directly against the dark ground. The bracelet is finished with sterling silver cord ends and a screw clasp engraved with the KW signature.
 
Black cord drawn tight against two points of warm stone. The darkest composition in the woven series. The contrast remains sharp and uninterrupted.
