Among the oldest stones in documented human use, with evidence stretching back approximately 6000 years.
Prescribed in the Egyptian Book of the Dead as a funerary amulet placed at the throat of the deceased.
Found among the burial objects of Tutankhamun.

Product Description
 
Red jasper has been used by human hands for approximately 6000 years. This Mala counts 108 of its stones across a line of olive woven silk, continuing a material history that stretches from ancient Mesopotamia to Egyptian royal burial to Japanese noble dress.
 
The piece features eight millimetre sterling silver Chinese Fu marker beads set within signature bead frames and is completed with a ten millimetre Fu Guru bead. The Tibetan inspired structure brings the heritage of the stone into a contemplative form of equal age.
