Blue Tiger Eye, also known as Hawk's Eye, forms when crocidolite fibres are replaced by silica during geological transformation.
The chatoyant shimmer is produced by light reflecting across the parallel fibres within the stone.
Sourced primarily from South Africa.
The blue variety retains more of the original mineral character than the golden form, giving it a cooler, more restrained appearance.

Blue Tiger Eye presents a composed, low-key surface, its deep blue-grey ground interrupted by the quiet shift of the stone's chatoyant quality as it catches the light.
